She is super-spoiled and gets lots of hugs and warmth from the kids. I am so surprised at her temperament. She is so calm and receptive especially my young girls. China loves the snow and loves to play outside. She doesn’t really bark (which I really appreciate) I even took her to work with me a couple of times and she lay on my lap or under the desk…she was soooo good! She was also a hit at the beauty salon. She sat on my lap the entire time. She is really smart and has learned to “sit” and “come” already. I did want you to know that I have had compliments on her lately that go directly back to you and your family. I brought her to work with me last week to take her to a local groomer, 1st time w/the groomer. She took Reno ’s personal info and when I went to pick her up, she could not believe how good she had been. She expected to see a dog that had missed out on human contact, having been used for breeding – it was just the opposite. Her experience has been that even with small breeders that often happens. She is a breeder. Reno was WONDERFUL (we know that.) She was truly impressed with Reno and the way she was raised. That says a lot about you and your dogs. I brought her back to work for a short while to stay, she greeted everyone –visited with them for a while and promptly fell asleep in my cubical so mom could work! Lastly, this past weekend she traveled with me for the weekend, not just a day trip. She loves to ride and promptly falls asleep (some company she is!) She was around another smaller dog all weekend and they did great, not to mention the new people. Everyone was so impressed that I could have gotten an adult dog with this personality. Wendy, I could not ask for a better girl – she is wonderful, and it truly does go back to you, your family and her early environment. I might be going into the UP within the next couple of months- if we can coordinate schedules between here and there. I always take 46 east to Alma and head north. If you would like to see Reno , I would be happy to let you know when it would be, if you would be home, I could swing by with her for a few minutes. If you would prefer not, that’s okay, too, I understand. Let me know. As I indicated I have a 2 ½ year old daughter (Emilee) who has had quite a bit of exposure to dogs big and small so I was very glad to hear that your own children are involved with the puppies from the beginning. I am very excited about our potential newest addition to our family and the chocolate male with the green eyes sounds like he will be a beautiful dog as well as a lot of fun! A friend of mine (who is amazing at coming up with names) came up with the name Hershey, but I will let you know if that is for sure going to be his name in the next week or so. I think it certainly fits but we shall see! I have put the check to you for $100 in the mail this morning so you should have it soon. I will talk with you soon! Thank you! Reno is doing just fine. She is sooooo much company and still such a good, patient, girl. My grandson is with me for the school year, 6 years old, and she is so gentle with him. He did not grow up with her, and he’d never met her until last summer. We know the activity level of a 6 year old boy, am so thankful she grew up with your children. Her patience level is really high even after not being around children (very often) for several years. I’m afraid to get her weighed, I had to start breaking her treats in small pieces, my bet is she put on a pound or two. He is so happy to tell her she is a good girl and reward her, time after time, after time……. Her gentle spirit and loving disposition have been such an added plus during this transition time. They are both so mischievous – what a pair. It’s hard to believe that she will be 9 in January. Where have the last 5 years gone! Is quite active when not perched on a lap. She still loves to chase the bunnies and squirrels, my fear is someday she will catch one! Best wishes to you and your family for a blessed holiday season. When we got the situation taken care of she settled down and slept the full way home. I made her a bed on the floor Saturday night, went to turn lights off and came back to her being on the bed! Got one of those irrestible deep sighs and of course she stayed there. Is getting brave doing the parameter of the yard, follows the fence. Her back yard area, for a city lot, is quite large, about 64' deep and 75' wide. I have yet to hear her bark. I have had her on the leash, Saturday all day, but part of Sunday, doesnt seem too sure of that so my guess is she may not be used to them, but we have taken a couple of short walks and she is getting the idea...... It's so cute cuz when I stop, she usually sits. She misses all of you, I have no doubt. My house is quiet compared to children playing and other dogs around all day long. She is comfortable enough to make herself at home- loves the chairs by the windows. It is so obvious she had lots of love, friends that have met her have commented on that. She is really a good girl.  Matt&Wendy Awwwww! The puppies are too cute. We got our bailey from you almost 3 years ago now and she is doing just wonderful. I check back here now and again to see the new puppies. I really wish we could afford a new one now but maybe some day soon. I keep telling people that I know if they are interested in cocker spaniels to check out your website! And I will continue to do so.

How is the family? We recently had our new addition to the family as well. Baby Kenzie is 7 months old now and her older sister is 17 now and her brother is now 11. Wow they grow up fast.

Just wanted to drop you a little note to say hi and hopefully soon we will be able to get another puppy soon. Take Care.

Hi Wendy,

I just wanted to thank you for our beautiful Dolly.  We love her very much.  Our Sadie is getting better with her everyday.  Dolly wants to play but Sadie just doesn't get it.  We're so thankful for you, Wendy, the wonderful breeder that took such great care of our Dolly before we received her.  Our girl is really growing. She likes to eat food, chew on rawhide bones and fetch the ball that the vet gave her as a present.  Dolly really likes her King size bed where she sleeps.  She has been getting her shots and all the things she is suppose to get.  She belongs to the AKC.  Her name is Dolly Golden Girl.  We also had her micro chipped, since we spend a lot of time between our home and our cabin in the UP.  She is a very active little pup.
I have attached several pictures of Dolly for your family to see.
We hope you are all well.  Have a  very Happy Thanksgiving.

PhotosHere are some pictures of Cricket :) we love her a lot! She loves to snuggle, but she's a ball of energy sometimes too! She is in love with our German Shepherd, and he's warming up to her too :) the cats aren't so sure yet, but they're getting used to her now. She loves meeting new people and animals. I have taken her to the beach a few times and she loves to run around in the sand and splash in the water, and then nap with me in the sun :) her potty training is going pretty well too; she has a few accidents now and then, but she learned to run to the door to let us know she needs to go outside. The first few nights were really rough, she did NOT like her new crate, but she's doing much better with sleeping through the night. Thank you so much for her, I love her so much :D

Hello, this is Jenn Perkin, Lynn Perkin's oldest daughter and a member of Sullivan AKA Sully's family.

When I found your websiteIknew we had our puppy. Withen days though, I found a constant companion and the sweetest little guy. Currently I am going through some hard times and being diagnosed with Lupus and this puppy has changed my life around. He is so smart and has mademe the happiest I HAVE BEEN IN A LONG TIME. I thought you deserved an update on this little guy.
He is so smart and can get away with murder, his favoritegame being "bowling for kitties" when all the cats are asleep in the hall he charges them and then used the wooden floor to slide into them. They do not seem to mind since our female cat, Lucy, has "adopted" him and constanly rubs her faceagainsthim and bathes him.
I attached some pics of him (he is alseep in every singleone since that is the only time he is still XD)
Our 12 year old golden retrieveris his best friend, Sully's hobby is to crawlon his head while he sleeps and looklike a head crab.
Sorry that it has taken so long to getin touch but Sully has just becpome such an importantmemerof our family and forsome reason he  has chosen me to be the one he comes to for evrything (the first pic isof him sleeping with me while I read).

Thankyou for giving us such an amazing puppy! Expect some more pics in the future,
Jennifer Perkin
Newville's, I want to thank you! Stanley has brought so much happiness back in our lives. We adore him and he is so much fun. Of coarse very spoiled. I hope all is well. Take care.

Hi Wendy!

Just a quick note to let you know how he's doing. Chaplin's grown to be a very funny, happy and smart little guy. He's just gorgeous....his marking turned out beautiful and people ooh and ahh over him everywhere we go. He's just a joy and we couldnt be happier.

Hope all is well with you and your family. Ive a attached a couple pictures for you.

here are the newest pics of Puddles and Jack.  Our son is home this weekend
and he took the pics. so could send you one.

they both have different personalities!!!  Puddles is cute, she knows it and
so she has a attitude.  Jack is laid back and sweet.  potty training is
coming but oh so slowly. Puddles is much better at potty training. Jack is a
little slower picking it up.

we have our first granddaughter on Aug. 20 so far we haven't seen her in
person because we can't leave the pups alone and it is just to hot leaving
them in the kennel.  hopefully, they both will get this potty business down
pat soon so we can make the almost 3 hrs trip to our granddaughter.  someone
said it takes 5 mos. to potty train a pup!!!!! can't believe it will be
another four mos. before I can see our granddaughter.

pup's are doing fine.  figure they weight about 6 lbs. they eat good and
have lots of energy.  I should say puddles seems to have more energy than
Jack. he is just easy going.

take care

Hi, Wendy……  Thought I would share this picture with you.  My grandson had been running through the sprinkler for the first time, Reno just had to follow him, UNTIL the water caught her and then she’d come flying back-, only to chase after him again, same thing would happen.  She looks exhausted, but actually, this was between her runs.   Thought you might like to see this.  She is such a beautiful girl…….  It’s so obvious she loves having her own boy to play with.   Always figured she missed your children.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Hi Wendy!
Just wanted to update you on Seamus...he is doing really well adjusting to his new home, changing a little bit everyday. He loves to play with his toys and pounce on the squeaky one. We've gotten a few little puppy growls out of him so far. He's taken a liking to chewing, mostly just flip flops and toes but he also fell in love with our bathroom rug. We are working on breaking him of that habit. Seamus doesn't like riding in the car very much but we like to take him when we visit our parents so we're hoping he likes it better. Still working on the potty training but he is starting to whine or run to the kitchen door when he needs to go. It only took him one day to learn where his water bowl is. He sleeps all night in his crate and in the morning when I wake up, I usually have to wake up the sleepyhead! He loves to nuzzle under blankets and pillows but mostly loves sprawling out on our wood floors and sleeping on hot days. Everyone that visits loves him! Andrew is a dog hog and gets most of the cuddle time, but he follows me around the house wherever I go. The picture on this email is from last night just before he fell asleep.

Hi Wendy,
Here are some pictures of Juneau (we changed the spelling)! He's doing well and we just love him! He's developed some buff colored spots on his back, his ears, tail, and freckles on his snout. He's been potty trained for about a month now and is good with the kids. He already knows how to sit, lay, and fetch! You were right he is going to be a big boy, 15 lbs. already!

Take care,
The Darlings

Well, Reagan seems to be adjusting very well.  Potty stuff is going very well indeed.  She's just a precious angel (so far) and we love her to death.  Nancy can't stop taking pictures of her so we will send you some probably next week.  Not much change in two days but her mother must have taken over 500 pictures thus far.
I know I'm rambling on like we've had her for 2 years instead of 2 days but she is a delightful little girl (so far).
Hope all is well there with her mom and siblings.  Tell them all that Reagan is doing great so far and not to worry.
Have a great day.

From: "VanDerHoeven,Judy,Fremont,Gerber Life Sales" <Judy.VanDerHoeven@us.nestle.com>Add sender to ContactsTo: centralmichigancockers@yahoo.comSeems like forever since I’ve sent you a note regarding Reno….. she is doing just fine.  She is certainly mischievous and those long legs help her get into ‘trouble.’  Loves to reach things on the counter or from the middle of the table.  I could not figure out how she was getting into things, doesn’t do it in front of me, but I’d come home from work and would find ‘stuff’ in the livingroom or down the hallway……  Had told my friend Hillary, her groomer/sitter about it b4 I went to Florida to visit my son’s family in December…..  She caught her on hind legs against their cupboards reaching toward the back to get at some dog treats…..  of course we had a laugh over that.  It solved the mystery, I’d figured she might be jumping up to get at things!

I always said she must have ridden with you thru fast food because the first time I went to a bank ATM, she was right there, hanging out the window like she was expecting to get food.  Now, after (how many years) everyone seems to know her, she gets cookies at the bank and Walgreens, and if, after a late night of work, I come home, let her out and ‘we’ go to get chicken, she gets  a ‘free’ chicken  treat from the cashier.   Is this girl spoiled or what????

She still loves to go in the car and most of the time, when I am at work, she does pretty good.  Can always tell when she is bored, that seems to be when she goes exploring!    She is still a lap dog, and after a hectic day, that is nice.  She rarely barks.   Still loves to play in the morning.  If I ignore her she’s in my face, like, come on, wake up…..  obviously I am enjoying her still.

I hope your family is well, if I ever get my home computer replaced will send you a picture of her.  Take care.  Know you folks must have lots of snow too…… that’s a whole other story with RenoJ

Hi Wendy!
Mya had her first grooming appointment Tuesday.  I have a couple of pics for you to see.  She is such a good girl.  Great temperment.  I was wondering if you have any pics of Mya's daddy for us to see.
Chase is SO adorable.  I keep showing pics of him to my husband....=)
Do you ever sell your older cockers when you don't breed them any more? We might be interested in one or maybe a puppy.... =)
We hope to bring Mya to come see you soon. =)

Hi Wendy,

Thought I would drop you a quick note and let you know how our new baby is doing.  She is so sweet!  When we left your house she climbed up on my shoulder and watched the house as we drove away and cried for about 15 minutes.  I knew she was wondering why were taking her away from her siblings.  Then she crawled up behind my neck and went to sleep.  We're doing pretty well on house training.  We've had a couple of accidents in the house but we're working on it.  The first night home she cried in her cage for about 10 minutes and then about 3:30am.  Second night was about 5 minutes.  Last night she was quiet!  She's eating well and playing like crazy.  She had a bath and was so good.  I'm attaching some pictures for you.

We are really enjoying her.  It has really helped with us losing our last doggie.

Lynn Z.

I just wanted to share some pictures of our precious Carmella.   She was part of the litter born in April 2007. She has been a delight to our family.  She was introduced to her big sister (2 year old black and white cocker) and they have been inseparable since. She is so beautiful, loves to give kissy's, loves to play with her tennis ball and enjoys the outdoors (especially swimming and the snow).  We are family!  They bring us joy and happiness.

Well I've had Lady for a little over 6 months now.  She is a very active dog.  She enjoys "high-fiving" to get a treat even when I'm not offering her one.  This also occurs early in the morning when she is "high-fiving" my face and I'm trying to sleep.  At the beginning of this month we got her fixed.  You couldn't even tell she had surgery because that day she was running up and down the stairs.  All fall we had apples dropping from our trees.  Lady enjoyed eating these and also bringing them in the house and hiding them under the bed.  Apparently she thought that she was a squirrel and had to store apples for the winter.  As you can see in the picture, the spoiled dog had her own pool.  I had enough of her trying to swim in her water dish so she got a pool to splash around in.  She has lots of dog friends that she visits weekly. Even though they are bigger then her, Lady always picks on them and out runs them.  She's their mini-leader.  She's a great addition to the family and I can't even remember a time when I didn't have her curled up next to me or hogging my pillow in bed at night.  Thank you once again for my spoiled Lady. I couldn't have asked for a better dog!

Reno is doing fine, she LOVES it when friends bring their dogs over, unless they are large dogs and then it's onto my lap!  My son was recently home from Florida and she would not go to bed at night, had to be up and part of the activity outside.  I laugh when I say, I have absolutely no idea what time she came to bed at night, was just outside having a good time.   I could hear her running with the other dogs that had come, reminds me of those 'teenage years.'  She has no idea she is a dog, more of a 'people on four legs.'
If I'm not mistaken, that is her picture on the puppy page, dressed like a pirate.  Her personality is so calm, could see her letting you dress her like that.   Not quite sure she'd let me do that to her, tho :-)  It's adorable.  I love to check out the puppy page from time to time, just to see what you do have available.
Hope things are well with your family.  Thanks again for raising such a sweet girl.

She is the queen of the house. I call her my little red head. She has learned stay, sit, and fetch. She loves playing in the snow, she gave new meaning to snow dog. She is the apple of my eye. Thanks again for her. Sincerely,Sheila Alford Wendy -- Just thought we would send you a picture of Molly and Kelsey and see how "big" little Molly is getting at 3-1/2 months old!! She is doing pretty good on the "potty training" and loves everyone in the house and neighborhood. She is an absolute joy and she is getting along very well with our big, 100 lb yellow lab, Hercules!! Sometimes she even steals his bone from him!! She's about 7 lbs now and has had her 1st cocker cut and about to go in for another one soon. The groomer said she was the best little pup she ever groomed!! Everyone loves her. She has her "spunky" times when she gets into the shoes and dirty laundry, but we are having a lot of fun with her. We are so glad we found you on the web and who knows, maybe some day we'll be back for another one!! Thanks Wendy and Family! Linda and Kelsey Kaczor -- and Molly!

She has made her way into our family (and of course our hearts!) really well. Her new name is Lucy and she is making great strides each day. The kids just love having her around, and she loves them just as much. She is gentle, loving, and obedient. I am attaching a few quick pictures we took the day we got home. I feel like she has been with us forever, and can't imagine our home without her. Merry Christmas, enjoy the pictures. The Blevins Family.

Miss Zoey Thanks So Much!

Hi ,

I hope you and your family are doing well. I have wanted to send you pictures before now but my family and I have been very busy with my son coming home from Iraq, the end of the school year stuff and our heating and cooling company has been overwhelmingly busy and then of course there is Zoe. She is so wonderful, we love her so much! It is as though she was truly meant for our family, she is sweetheart. She is housebroken, that went really well, now she is losing her baby teeth and has two new teeth already. Our shepherd, Timber, is crazy in love with her, they get along really well and play hard, it is so much fun to watch, he is so big and she is so small. Actually we were at the vet a month ago, Zoe weighed 8.5 lbs. and Timber was 121 lbs.. She is so eager to please us, she loves being a good girl, she has learned to sit and stay, we are working on staying in the yard and to come to us when she is called, and for the most part it is going well. I was worried about training a small dog, I have never had one, she has made my job easy and it is fun to work with her. She has really attached herself to me, which is what I wanted, when Timber barks or something startles her she comes right to me, I love that she trusts me. Memorial weekend we visited my parents home up north, she traveled and behaved beautifully, both my parents but especially my father really like her. My father trained dogs at Leader Dogs for the Blind for over 40 years, it was so nice to hear him say what a nice temperament and disposition Zoe has and how well we were working with her and how well she is responding to us. Thank you so very much for her, and the wonderful love and care you and your family provide to your breeding stock and puppies, it was immediately apparent that she was bred and raised in a loving and caring environment. Again, Thank You to you and your family.

Hi ,

So far so great! I am so in love with her, she is wonderful. I know that I should not speak so soon but honestly she has been great. She seems to be doing better than I thought she would, she is drinking, eating and going potty outside, what more could I ask for.  And as for Timber (the German Shepherd) and the three cats, all seems to be good. Of course tomorrow is another day but that is okay! I will send pictures if not tonight, definitely tomorrow.
